Tai Chi Master 4K 1993 Ultra HD 2160p
Two of the best monks of the Shaolin monastery are kicked out for possible cheating - together they go wandering around China, helping the needy and leading an ascetic life, until one of them betrays the other. Years later, they meet again, on the battlefield during the Civil War - the traitor stands in the ruler's army, his friend fights on the side of the rebels. “Two Warriors” is first of all a biopic of the hero of folk legends and the founder of several types of martial arts Zhang Sanfeng and only after that a story about the confrontation of former friends and revenge. Probably, that's why there are not so many fight scenes in the movie, but each of them is superbly staged and neatly woven into the plot.

Jet Li. I can't miss a movie with him. I like him too much. It's understandable that, like any actor, he's had his movie choices go wrong. But “Master of Tai Chi” is not one of them.
It's a story both funny and tragic. It's a story of great friendship and great hate. It's a story of how the lust for wealth and power can corrupt a man and harden his heart.
It is a story of two friends, raised in the temple from childhood and then banished to the big world. Fate has scattered them. One became a soldier, the other a rebel. One betrayed his comrades, the other swore revenge.
The kung fu here, you might say, is on the verge of fantasy. All the characters fly, as skilled pilots. Stunts are performed with honed clarity, and insane speed.
I can not even say who was the best here.
It's just a shame that all the fights are just movie stunts. I prefer more naturalistic fights. However, I have to admit that since I have a soft spot for any kung fu muvi, I don't care too much about the naturalness of the staging.
Also, the film is based on a story about friendship, honor and betrayal for a reason. In Asia, such plots (in different variants) are almost ubiquitous. At least they didn't shout that my kung-fu is better, though they found out their relations only in such a way. That the tables were flying apart.
In short, I'm a fan, and I just can't help but admire this kind of thing. And to non-fans I can recommend the movie for familiarization purposes only.
