If you are a single mother, then do not worry, because perhaps right now you are being watched by a charming middle-aged man, looking out to soon charm you. He will easily pick up the key to your heart, after which you will gladly connect with him life and will not regret, as you will get a master of all hands, a loving husband and caring stepfather in one person. Gold, not a man. Just do not ask him about the past - it is useless. What's important is what's happening here and now. And never disappoint him, otherwise he will “turn into a beast”, leave you and go in search of another single mother, leaving behind a bloodbath. He is driven by a lofty goal - to create the perfect family.
“Stepfather” from 1986 is the original version of the remake of the same name, directed in 2009 by Nelson McCormick. Unlike the modern version, Joseph Rubin's movie brims with a tense atmosphere and a more elaborated motivation of the main character, which consists in the fact that he has a certain goal, or rather a manic need for a perfect family. Trying to create it, he eventually realizes that the housemates did not live up to his expectations and eventually breaks off relations with them in a radical way, and McCormick, without going into details, showed an unprincipled maniac, killing left and right. In addition, Terry O'Quinn, now known as John Locke from the series “Staying Alive”, much better than Dylan Walsh fit into the image of a nice villain-psychopath, skillfully rubbing in the trust. And well thought out details of the image, right down to the clothes. Apparently, succumbing to the fashion for Freddy Krueger (“Stepfather” was released two years after “A Nightmare on Elm Street”), Rubin and his team periodically dressed the main character in a striped black-and-red sweater or plaid shirt of the same color, hinting at his bloodthirsty gut.
The picture clearly makes it clear that it is dangerous to tie your fate to a man you hardly know. It is understandable that you want to say goodbye to loneliness and live happily ever after, but it is better to be safe and keep a distance for a while than to regret it later or to end up in the damp earth.
