The movie starts like a fairy tale: a good young man named Hogan saves a beautiful maiden from the hands of dirty bandits. That's a great start for a romantic story, isn't it?

The problem is that the lady rescued by the brave cowboy is a nun, which, however, does not prevent Hogan at every opportunity to speak favorably of her feminine virtues. But Sister Sarah is not as simple as it seems: in every woman has a secret, and in this ...

Don Siegel shot, in my opinion, an excellent western with a slight taste of 'spaghetti', but the emphasis is not on the epicness of the narrative, but on excellent humor and interest. Clint Eastwood, as always, is at his best - chewing cigars, drinking crappy whiskey from his throat ('How can you drink that?', asks his sister), excellent humor, and, of course, shoots accurately. Shirley MacLaine as Sister Sarah is also great: for the first half of the movie she's a pious nun, and the second half.... well, you'll see for yourself.

The music for the movie was written by Ennio Morricone himself, which positively affects the perception of the picture.

'Two Mules...' is easy to watch and leaves good memories: it is not an outstanding movie, but a great mix of western, comedy and adventure movie.

Those who respect Clint Eastwood and westerns - I advise you to watch it.
