Storyline
The film continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!" is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

The first Shazam was a pretty good surprise especially in such a consistently bad cinematic universe so a sequel should've taken what the first movie did well while also taking note of the criticisms since that's what great sequels usually do. Sadly that's not the case here.
This film contains little of the charm and none of the heart of the original. The emotional moments don't hit the same as they did the first film and the humor just doesn't work either. On top of the lackluster emotional moments and painfully unfunny jokes, the movie just doesn't work. All of the new characters are forgettable, the CGI ranges from decent to garbage (what were they thinking with that dragon?), the story is generic beyond belief, the cameos are terrible and the entire film just feels pointless especially given the new direction DC is taking.
Zachary Levi still kills it as Shazam. His charisma and charm get all the points.
