The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert 4K 1994 Ultra HD 2160p

Storyline
Two drag-queens (Anthony/Mitzi and Adam/Felicia) and a transgender woman contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. They head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, Priscilla. En route, it is discovered that the woman they've contracted with is Anthony's wife. Their bus breaks down, and is repaired by Bob, who travels on with them.

I watched this movie after reading the reviews on this site. And I didn't regret it for a second! After watching it a couple of times, I finally included it in the list of my favorite films.

You don't need to expect any deep meaning, revelations, or answers to the meaning of life from this movie. You just have to watch and enjoy it, it is not made for any other purpose. What I enjoy most of all are the actors. I love the fact that through it you can discover a new side of actors who are kind of already established in certain roles. At first I was puzzled why Terence Stump was nominated for various awards out of the three. I favored Guy Pearce (I literally fell in love with him for the second time. I didn't expect anything like that from him after my favorite Secrets of Los Angeles, where he impressed me with his acting). But towards the end of the movie I got a taste of Terence's character. He is delightful. So much femininity, wisdom, a slight weariness of life and a touch of bitterness.

The three characters become part of your world for a while and I'm glad of that. They always give me warmth and joy with their, albeit not always fun, adventures. Bitter-sweet. Just like life itself.
