Tribute to Opel Manta B and the rest of the German car industry, although Opel is not German (legally) any more.... it's not clear whose and what it is.

The main actor during the filming is almost, and at the time of writing the review is already 60. Now he is just the right age to star in something like Reach for Heaven (actually, I saw another actor from a famous movie here).

Old Man on the Drive!

Eh, the Germans used to be able to make drive-in movies. But the German economy is no longer the same, local filmmakers are able to make something spectacular only with the participation of their main geopolitical donor. Sad. Well, we'll watch what we have. We don't have anything spectacular about racers. The only thing that's entertaining is war. And racing in our country is not too popular sport so far, including because there are no domestic car manufacturers, ready to invest in motorsport. The car industry is clearly not in the mood for it now.

What is our movie about? Well, at first, the authors immediately put in place the German youth, which is shown to be insolent, proud, profane, disobedient to parents and all in this vein. In short, complete spiritual decay, although the parents are not better in some places. Yes, Germany, where have you gone in the last 30 years? It's pathetic.

But otherwise a funny movie (grown dudes trying to joke like teenagers, but like teenagers from the early 90s - what can be.... m-m-m... edgier, even though they're hanging out with young girls). There's also a son and father relationship in it. The son calls the father just a sperm donor, which already says a lot about their relationship.

In general, lately movies with old men from the 90s or other bygone and forgotten decades have become fashionable. Someday our current decade will be just as... old, with all its stars and pretty stars.

Yeah, I never said what our movie was about... it's not about racing or cars in general. It's about some silly adventures with a strange, very German humor. If you think about it, the Germans have never been good at comedy. Some philosophical satire, yes, but not pure comedy.
