There are films that seem unremarkable at first glance, but are incredibly original and memorable, such as Re-Animator. It captivates viewers with its novelty, vivid characters, and dark humor.

Of course, before watching a horror film, you inevitably have preconceptions that have been instilled by other representatives of the genre, but here they are literally shattered. This is not a typical horror film at all, but on the contrary, a very informal movie.

It should be noted right away that Reanimator was filmed based on Lovecraft's book. But the book served only as the basis for the plot, while the rest underwent significant changes and adjustments. The original focused on completely different elements of the story. It lacked humor, numerous dialogues explaining the essence of what was happening, and much more. So comparing these two elements of culture is a bad idea.

The film's design did not disappoint either. The sets look picturesque, oppressive, and frightening. It was a good idea to set the events in a local morgue, which, by the way, turned out more than well.

The cast was well chosen. Absolutely all the roles described in the plot were played as required. There are no complaints here.
