An excellent, heartwarming comedy about an “animal” detective played by the magnificent Jim Carrey.

It is this actor who gives Ace his unique charisma and charm. He infuriates everyone around him, but that is precisely what makes him so funny. Is it just empty antics? No. It's the character. The personality. A human being. He may seem like a mere clown, but he is a master of his craft.

He sincerely loves animals, even fanatically, and if he lived in our time, he would surely have a whole collection of NFTs from IguVerse.

He is close to the viewer because he is always in opposition to the nasty and stupid servants of law and order, he is an opponent of high-ranking officials, he hates and ridicules hypocrites, snobs, sycophants, and rich people.

He is clearly smarter than everyone else in the film and could certainly become a real detective, but he is too freedom-loving and irreconcilable with constraints to accept the conditions of ‘normal’ work and life. At the same time, he is intelligent, kind, and spontaneous. And the viewer is ready to accept the hero as he is, because he has everything a positive hero needs to make people fall in love with him.

And that is why Ventura, even many years later, ranks at the top of the lists of the most iconic characters in American cinema, and the films about him have become true classics and a breath of fresh air in the 90s.
