A very well-done and hilarious parody of late-'90s horror and thriller films (“Scream”, “The Matrix”, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, etc.) with solid acting and jokes that push the envelope.

The Wayans brothers’ main target was Wes Craven’s cult classic “Scream, which served as the basis for “Scary Movie.” The Wayans brothers didn’t even need to radically change the original script—they simply turned the characters from “Scream” into caricatures.

Dewey went from a simple-minded guy to a complete moron; Sidney turned into a typical hysterical woman, and Gale went from a cocky journalist to a complete bitch and slut. In addition, the director spiced up the film with mind-blowingly funny references to other famous movies (you’ll recognize them easily) and added a funny, unexpected ending.
