Play Misty for Me is nothing short of a classic of world cinema. It is the first, very successful attempt to create a suspenseful film, really suspenseful - yes, so you can stock up on nappies for the session. This film is the foundation, yes the foundation of today's thriller!

‘Tension’ in it is not because of the murders, not because of the blood, no! The acting, the real, legendary acting of Eastwood and Walter is what makes the film so creepy. Without them, the film would have failed miserably. These actors are so ingrained in their roles that this is probably the only thriller where you feel for the protagonist every second - the atmosphere is so strong.

The moment when Dave sits with his girlfriend on a picnic (close-up) - and sharply distant plan - Evelyn, watching it - at this moment the heart stops! After which you realise the further development of the film.

Play Misty for Me is a thriller that deserves to be called a masterpiece and to be an example for other Thriller films.
