First of all, I would like to say that this movie is an icon of vampire philosophical cinema for me, despite the different opinions of critics.

First of all, the director's idea to show everyone why we have been so attracted to the vampire genre for so many years, why we strive for eternal darkness instead of light is brilliant. The movie gives quite a logical answer: we are all addicted. Initially, from birth, all people fall into an irresistible addiction, consciously and unconsciously only exacerbating this fact. That's the whole answer... Simple? To make it not seem so in the dialogs you will hear quotes from many famous people, making you wonder if it is so...
