Two police detectives (the elderly and experienced Somerset and the young and ambitious Mills) are on the trail of a sophisticated maniac who dedicates each new murder to one of the seven deadly sins.

I watched a very interesting, exciting, but also dark and heavy movie - Seven.
The movie tells the story of two completely opposite characters who happen to work as partners. David Mills and William Somerset. The first is a young, ambitious, flashy and impulsive guy. Who has a wife, two dogs, they just moved to a new town and live very nicely together. At least that's how his partner saw it.
Somerset is the opposite, a reserved, mature, experienced and time-tested detective.
They were both involved in a most complex and truly horrifying case.
The killer punished the 'sinners' one by one, emphasizing each of the Seven Deadly Sins. Lust. Gluttony. Greed. Wrath. Envy. Pride. Sloth. These are expressed and shown in the criminal's 'certain' own order.
The plot completely forces you to delve in and start playing the classic game of 'cat and mouse' between the killer and the investigators. Over the course of solving the case, our characters grow closer and begin to open up to each other. David becomes more polite to his partner, and the latter in turn begins to trust and even listen to the guy.
The dialog in the bar, after an almost successful attempt to catch the killer, I consider a turning point. Because at that moment David, thanks to his unbreakable character, gave HOPE to William. Hope that the town can be saved, that the people, that everyone can be saved.
The ending is actually quite predictable, and yet you don't want to believe it until the last and try not to think about it. Sometimes it feels like the Devil himself is standing in front of you. But in reality, it's just a man....
