User Review
The master of classic Italian horror films (so-called 'giallo' films) Dario Argento has been making more and more often lately extremely weak and unremarkable movies. This time he decided to turn to the story of the most famous vampire of all time - Dracula, about whom countless movie adaptations have already been made.
Unfortunately, Argento adapted the story of Dracula very poorly. Computer special effects in the movie look extremely primitive, and very spoil the impression of viewing. The plot itself, weak as it is, is seasoned with scenes of erotic content.
The only thing that pleases in the movie is the presence of Argento's beautiful daughter Asia, who plays the role of Lucy. She is quite accurate in her role. Asia is simply delightful, she has a very beautiful appearance and a lovely figure. Asia's beautiful looks alone bring some colorfulness to such a disappointing movie.
Rutger Hauer in the role of Van Helsing is also very pleased with his acting. Although his character appears shortly before the finale.
As for Dracula himself - he turned out to be somehow faded and unremarkable. Thomas Kretschmann is a good actor, but in this movie he played rather weak.
Bottom line: a very weak movie made by a master of horror.
