Big Nick is back on the hunt. This time his target is in Europe: Donnie is now spinning in the treacherous and unpredictable world of thieves and jewels, and is also connected with the famous Panther Mafia, with whom he plans a grand heist of the world's largest diamond exchange.

In 2018, the light saw the movie “Den of Thieves” directed by Christian Gudgest, which was not a perfect movie. However, the picture definitely managed to pleasantly surprise the viewer with an interesting atmosphere, a fascinating story of an ingenious robbery and the confrontation of a group of robbers with the police. In fact, immediately asked for the announcement of the sequel, which ... unfortunately had to wait almost 7 years. Was it worth it? Let's find out.

It's no secret that the problem with most sequels has always been that they took the story of the first tape and retold with cosmetic changes. However, the authors of this tape seems to have decided to go the other way and it is definitely happy. Instead of another confrontation between a group of policemen and another gang of robbers, the authors of this tape very interestingly played the idea of the transition of Big Nick on the other side of the law. Certainly not without vaibes in the direction of “On the Crest of the Wave” and the first “Fast and Furious”. Nevertheless, it is the two main characters, their revelation from an unexpected side and the dynamics of their relationship that keeps the story going. When otherwise, the story sags a lot and the robbery itself in this tape seems not so unique and original.

A slight downgrade is also felt in the direction of Christian Gyudgest. The first movie bribed really unusual atmosphere with an interesting vibe, as well as extremely brutal and spectacular shootout in the finale. However, in this tape everything is slightly different. Action scenes in the picture are even less and they look far from as spectacular as in the first tape. There are also attempts to play unusual atmosphere, which obviously distinguish the movie among its brethren in the genre. However, it turns out to be insufficient for the picture does not sag in the middle and does not seem slightly overlong.

As it was said above, this movie is anchored by two main characters and an important role in this was played by the excellent acting duo of Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr. who perfectly play their roles on the screen. And to tell you the truth, the other actors did not hit the dirt.
