Shhh... Everyone around me, be quiet. I'm listening. I want to listen. The boys are singing. Little boys from a boarding school for troubled teenagers... singing in French. My laptop is humming. The film is playing. The boys are singing. I'm crying.
They stand in rows, in worn shirts, with their heads held high... and their eyes are shining. These children's eyes shine because they feel important, they are doing what they want to do, and they are succeeding. Isn't that wonderful? Isn't that what life is all about?..
I could never have imagined that it was possible to cry uncontrollably while watching a movie and feel... happiness. I've cried a lot while watching movies... but every time it was tears of sadness, pain, empathy. And now I'm happy! Is it possible to experience SUCH emotions from a movie? No? Then you don't have this love... Love that eclipses everything: fear, irritation, hatred, in the end!
Music... the music of my heart. Maybe this film was made to... heal?
I cry. I live. I feel. I love. I am happy.
