Together they scheme to swindle and murder women who look for love and companions writing letters to a sentimental courier.
User Review
From the very first minutes of the film, nothing but a repulsive reaction to the main characters, their actions, and the story itself arises. Only pity, but not the kind that makes you empathize with someone else's misfortune, but rather a vile pity, when the images of the film's main characters are pathetic to the point of disgust.
An overweight and somewhat limited woman meets an infantile and insecure womanizer who steals from ladies tired of loneliness, and as a result, a union of two flawed beings is formed, who can hardly be called people. And it is precisely the inferiority of each of them that makes this union stronger than any other based on love and romantic relationships. Moreover, their insecurities and fear of losing this fragile but necessary connection gradually push them to commit terrible, despicable, and incredibly cynical crimes. After all, the only absolute guarantee of their eternal closeness is the blood of the innocents they have killed and the utter darkness in their souls.
This is a very difficult film to watch, one that offers no answers and conveys no moral or ethical message, but merely demonstrates the terrible manifestations of human nature and the complexity of the human psyche. because it is difficult for an ordinary person to even imagine what must be going on in the minds of people like the main characters in the film for them to suddenly be able to cross all existing boundaries of law and morality.
