In the year 2032, one of the most dangerous criminals Simon Phoenix awakens in a cryo-prison after a 35-year freeze and decides to take the quiet, violence-free Los Angeles by storm.

Unable to cope with Phoenix's violent 1990s habits, officials are looking for a cop from those years who can get the upper hand on the 90s criminal. To do so, they unfreeze Sgt. John Spartan, unjustly sentenced to time in cryo-prison for his latest bout with Phoenix.

I was lucky enough to see this movie as a child in the theater in the year 94. Maybe that's why it left very positive impressions and memories. The whole movie flew by for the first time in one breath, Wesley Snipes created the image of such a charismatic villain that despite all his cruelty he caused only positive emotions, in contrast to him was Stallone with his jokes about the renunciation of the inhabitants of San Angeles from violence, swearing and toilet paper, but my sympathy for them was equal.

At the time, Sylvester Stallone was the idol of millions of young people of very different age groups. Sandra Bullock was just beginning her journey to first rate star status, and Wesley Snipes was playing his best roles. Plus to all of the above can be added that at that time the domestic audience was not yet quite fed up with Hollywood action movies, so any action was perceived very well. In addition, the plot of 'Destroyer' despite its banality was quite original at the time. You can argue with me, but I remember well my excitement about San Angeles in 2032 and two heroes from the 90s in the background. Believe me, at that time such a story was still quite new and interesting, besides few people were interested in diverse heroes in the action movie genre, which was associated only with imperturbability, muscles and charisma of the main characters. To this we can add a good and quite simple humor in the course of the film, as well as very good special effects for that time. As a result we get a pure Hollywood attraction, made at the highest level of its time, now called a blockbuster. Now for many viewers it is a good portion of nostalgia for action movies and heroes of the 90s.

Personally, I can only speak about this movie from the good side, for me it is an action classic.
