Truck Turner, a former professional soccer player who becomes a bounty hunter (along with his partner Jerry), tracks down a bail-dodging pimp in Los Angeles, California. After a shootout where Truck must use deadly force to kill the pimp, Turner becomes a marked man and a target for assassins.

Where do you think modern ('African-American') action movies 'get their roots'? You guessed it right - from pictures of the early 70s, like 'Truck Turner'. There is a significant political point here: by that time the situation with the rights of black minorities in the U.S. was beginning to 'dissolve', as advocated by the Nobel Peace Prize winner Martin Luther King and the small, in today's times, terrorists from the Black Panthers (those who lived at that time, like me, should remember it!). Looking ahead, I will say: these 'minorities' got what they wanted! And now in the USA, if anyone tries to call an 'African-American' a 'nigger', they will be taken to court for insult and 'intolerance'! But in many Hollywood movies in general and, in particular, in 'African-American' movies, from that time to now, 'black brothers' easily call each other 'niggers', 'black assholes', etc. Don't be surprised - it's a joke, a joke, they enjoy it!

...But one of the 'first swallows' of the 'African-American' Hollywood movie was our 'Truck Turner'. And it was very successful. Our 'black', aka Turner, is not a cop, but 'about as good' as his partner. All they do is track down and find bail jumpers. But they had to run into a tough pimp, because of whom the whole detective plot got entangled! Undoubtedly, one of the best and quite funny scenes of the movie is the 'funeral-pimp' scene! Attention! It is after the funeral that the main action of the movie begins, the most exciting! Oh, what will happen there!!! I've already watched it, now you watch it!

...If you ask me what I especially liked in our movie, you'll never guess! All right, I'll share! And here's the moment when Truck, in order to save his beloved from the 'raids' of the pimp mafia, arranged for her to serve another time in prison (where she, 'on a small thing', recently served 30 days!). What a family conflict, God forbid (man, hide your face and balls!!!). What all ended, you will learn from the movie!

...Returning to the beginning of the review, I will only say (and state the fact): our 'Truck Turner', as well as a number of other similar American films of that era, contributed to the formation of 'African-American' cinema as a phenomenon. Isaac Hayes, who played the lead role (as well as composer and singer), is not one of the forerunners of 'black' Hollywood 'stars' like Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Wesley Snipes, etc.? And the whole thing started in 1974....
