Sleuth 1972

Sir Andrew Wyke, a successful author of detective novels, invites Milo Tindall—his wife’s lover—to visit him. Milo arrives at the writer’s luxurious mansion, where he receives an unexpected proposal. Sir Andrew knows about their affair and is even willing to let his wife go. But since she is accustomed to a life of luxury, the penniless womanizer must stage a robbery at the Wyke residence. Sir Andrew will collect the insurance money, and Milo will sell the stolen goods and be able to provide his mistress with a decent living.
