Sudden Impact 1983

Police officer Harry Callahan stops at nothing in his fight against the criminal underworld. Murder is just business as usual for him. The local police chief tries to rein in his fierce subordinate, but Harry has no intention of changing his ways. The San Francisco authorities are dismayed by Callahan’s behavior and, just to be on the safe side, send the detective to investigate a case in São Paulo. In the seaside town, Harry picks up the trail of serial killer Jennifer Spencer. She kills men who once took part in the brutal rape of herself and her younger sister. Jen kills in a sophisticated manner—she wants her victims to suffer before they die, so she shoots them in the groin first. Harry arrives on the scene, but he doesn’t receive a warm welcome from the São Paulo police. Having heard about Callahan’s brutal methods, they can’t wait for Harry to leave their town.
