Willow Afgood, a resident of a fairy-tale Lilliputian village, dreams of becoming a good wizard and taking the place of his teacher, a great magician and sorcerer. The adventure begins when Willow and her children discover a baby “daikini” - “big people” - in a basket that the river has nailed to the shore near their home.

Disliking the baby at first, Willow soon becomes attached to it with all her heart. In a vain attempt to return the child to the “big people”, he becomes involved in a struggle against the evil queen, the sorceress Bavmorda. In his wanderings, Willow meets Crazy Martigan, a former soldier and thief.

Martigan and Willow argue with each other incessantly, but in trouble they are inseparable friends. This friendship allows them to achieve victory over the evil sorceress....

In 1988, the movie Willow was released. I got it on cassette, with a terrible translation and a bouncing picture. But that didn't stop me from watching one of the most beautiful fairy tales of my childhood.

Now, to my surprise, I am one of only five people who know about this fairy tale. It's a shame, because it's a worthwhile movie.

So. The world of fairies, elves, evil sorcerers and dwarves is ruled by the evil witch Queen Bavmorda. She is very wicked, and treacherous. But there is a way to destroy the despotic person. There was a prophecy that will be born on a certain day, or rather night, a miracle girl, able to stop Bavmorda. The girl will have a mark, in the form of a birthmark....

Next, you should still watch the movie yourself.

Even because it features a character like Madmartigan (He's played by a young Val Kilmer, and that's worth watching). A con man, a thief, but a very charming man who wins the heart of Sorsha (Daughter of the main villain). You will be able to laugh at the jokes and 'mishaps' of two little characters, Rul and Frangin. Two little goblins will be helping our heroes.

The most important character is Willow Afgood, a farmer, an aspiring wizard and just a good-natured kid. He's just the one who will save the little miracle girl.

In the end, I can only add that the movie is perfect for family viewing, as well as for all fans of fantasy.
