I am a sincere fan of this genre and have watched all the films since the very first one. I have always appreciated the taste, style, and conciseness of the plot and dialogues. Everything is always done with the utmost attention to detail.

Tom is probably one of the best actors who has maintained his brand, form, and remained true to himself. Almost all of the films in which he participates are distinguished by their style and originality, and his characters always confidently pursue their goals. That's why it's sad to watch the latest Mission films. Although Tom Cruise himself is still as good as ever, and there are no questions about him.

What is disappointing is that, whereas before the plot would grab you and not let go until the very end, now that is probably not even physically possible—the plot has been split into two films, each lasting almost three hours! Two years have passed between the parts! (It's clear whose fault it is.) And to piece together the plot, you have to rewatch the first part. The plot is terribly drawn out, both in terms of time and storyline. There are many ridiculous scenes that are drawn out and boring. There are many repetitions and references, which slows down the development of the plot. And, in my opinion, the absurd stretching of the Owl onto the globe with a reference to one of the previous parts (where a container with biological weapons was stolen) and in this one it was renamed to the current AI for the sake of connection. Owl - Globe - Owl - Globe, deliberately and absurdly.

And this ridiculous antagonist, the AI's protégé, seems fine on his own, but he's not scary—there's no threat, no clear motives, etc. He's not interesting. In this part, there is basically no Enemy as such. It seems to exist, but its image is so vague, and there are so many secondary minor enemies that the hero is left alone on the stage.

And then there's the childish perception of AI, the laws of physics, and human capabilities. Well, a person can't react faster than 100 milliseconds, so come up with something more natural and probable. Why insert such ideas into the plot and compete with speeds that only technology is capable of? Although it's a small thing, everything there is now woven from such small things. It ruined the Alien series, and now it's here too. Well, if you don't care about the plot, physics, and logic, then you'll find it easy to watch.
