Conquest 4K 1983 Ultra HD 2160p
Italian sword and sorcery epic from splatter director Lucio Fulci loosely inspired from the Hercules mythos about two warriors on a quest and a vengeful demon who throws all kinds of nasty creatures along the way to fill scenes of gory violence.

Ocron, a wicked and powerful sorceress with the power to control the sun, has established a brutal regime in her realm, and anyone who refuses to submit to her may be put to death in the most merciless manner. However, there is a hero—the handsome young man Ilias—who has taken up the fight against the true Face of Evil.
The 1983 film *Conquest* is one of the most underrated and little-known works by Italian director Lucio Fulci, shot in the “sword and sorcery” fantasy subgenre. Despite an extremely small budget, Fulci managed to create a stunning, dark, and brutal—yet incredibly beautiful—universe in the film, as if it had stepped out of the canvases of Hieronymus Bosch or the Surrealists and Avant-gardists. The visual aspect dominates the film, as the plot is simple and straightforward, and at times very predictable.
Cinematographer Alejandro Ulloa has created an unforgettable world in the film, while not forgetting to fill it with typically Fulci-esque scenes of bloody violence and a touch of subtle irony, which makes the film easy to watch.
The acting in the film generally leaves a positive impression. In my opinion, Jorge Rivera did an excellent job in the role of Ilias, creating an interesting and charismatic character. The role of Ocron was brilliantly performed by actress Sabrina Siani, who created a convincing and powerful character.
Composer Claudio Simonetti wrote a dark, stylish, and lingeringly terrifying soundtrack for the film, which perfectly complemented it.
I recommend this film to all fans of the fantasy genre, Italian horror, and trash cinema, as well as to all admirers of Lucio Fulci’s work.
