I Love Boosters 4K 2026 Ultra HD 2160p

Corvette (Kiki Palmer) leads the “Velvet Gang”—a trio of Black female “boosters” who specialize in robbing thrift stores. The heroines are only interested in high-end clothing at a steep discount. At one point in the past, Corvette herself planned to become a designer and even applied for a grant from fashion mogul Christie Smith (Demi Moore), but her designs and silhouettes didn’t quite meet the fashion executive’s standards. Many years later, Corvett is horrified to discover that Smith has appropriated her inventions and passed them off as her own Metro brand. With the support of her girlfriends, Corvett decides to rob every one of Smith’s boutiques, thereby unleashing a full-blown class war.

Boots Riley is surely one of the great cinematic rule-breakers of his generation. There's no telling what the next shot will bring in I Love Boosters, whether we suddenly get cartoon "wheel o' feet" running physics (achieved through a practical effect, if you can believe it) or a woman changes her entire face in that mysterious space that exists outside the frame and in-between cuts. Are you at least reasonably certain you're not watching science fiction? Well, wait till the halfway point. You might be surprised.

The acting and production design in I Love Boosters are wonderfully crazed and colorful. It isn't often that I use comparisons to Bo Welch's Cat in the Hat as a point of praise, but I Love Boosters is such a case.

It can be a somewhat jarring experience at times, but if you wanna see something that stands out from everything else in the cinema right now (supposing it's still playing near you, by some miracle), this is what you'll wanna see.
