In my opinion, this animated film ranks among the greatest works of the legendary Disney studio.

There are many reasons for this. First, the soundtrack. The songs complement the action perfectly and stick in your mind the moment you hear them. Just think of songs like “In a World of My Own,” “I’m Late,” and “Happy Unbirthday to You.” The music and lyrics are cheerful and fully capture Carroll’s world.

Second, the characters are stunningly animated. Of course, the most memorable ones are the Hatter, the March Hare, the White Rabbit, and the Walrus. During the voice recording, the actors played their characters themselves to better get into character. I recommend watching the cartoon to fully appreciate the talent of the voice actors.

The entire cartoon is full of quotable lines. The screenwriters crafted literally every phrase.

Alice fully conveys the absurdity and paradoxical nature of Carroll’s world. Fans of the author’s work will certainly not be disappointed.

Bottom line: A stunning animated film that you’ll want to watch over and over again.
