The creators of “Airplane” made a great comedy in the same vein, parodying spy thrillers. An American rock singer (Kilmer) comes to the GDR for a cultural festival, where he takes part in the actions of the anti-communist resistance with dancing and songs. This is the plot, and to laugh, you have to watch the movie itself, which is a parody of many pictures, including the same “Aeroplane”.

Not 'Airplane! ', not 'The Naked Gun' and especially not 'Hotheads' and 'Scary Movie' should be considered the quintessence of Abrahams & Zucker humor. The palm of superiority, in my opinion, goes to this seemingly lesser known movie starring a young Val Kilmer.
Someone, I know, once calculated that in 'Shrek 2' one joke is an average of half a minute of screen action. Not a bad figure (hence the popularity!), but 'Top Secret' is definitely ahead in this respect. And here you can find episodes where two or three jokes overlap, and you don't know what amuses you more - dialog, parody moments or visual tricks.
Nick Rivers is a fighter against totalitarianism with a guitar! The GDR is not much different from Hitler's Germany - a good parallel! Well, and Kilmer had a blast - he laughed, flaunted himself, sang songs, and was paid money!
The list of spoofed movies is unlistenable - if only because some scenes indicate a large number of movies at once! You may not have watched the originals, but you know for sure that this is a parody.
