Quite old and rare Chinese movie. It doesn't exist in normal translation, but it's understandable. This movie aroused rather ambiguous emotions in me. On the one hand, the realization that in front of my eyes is thrash on the edge of absurdity did not recede. On the other hand, there is something in this movie. Maybe it's the good old idea that cruelty is not capable of generating anything but cruelty, maybe it's all about the main character, despite the fact that somewhat in a delusional form he is shown to us simply with inhuman will and zeal for justice. Let his image is little revealed, but in general such a hero is quite possible to empathize with. As for the fight scenes... In my opinion they are absent in principle, that is, instead of the expected beautifully staged fights we see only the embodiment of cruelty of simply unreal level. The main character is able to punch a man through with his fist, regardless of the complexion of the man or just to knock off half of his head with a light swing of his fist.
The movie is based on comics, which, as I understand, show something similar, but the comic is a comic book, with him and ask less, and this is a movie and here should have somehow moved away from the ultra bloody mess. Scenes where characters strangle each other with their guts may be interesting to some, but for most people it's something shocking. The grotesque depiction of violence is a rather risky move and is designed more for the amateur. Also it is impossible not to mention simply inhuman possibilities of Ricky, again the heavy legacy of comics affects, but did even the slightest tendency to realism made this movie worse? The ending of the movie is especially satisfying, just answer me someone why he didn't do that from the beginning? Did he want to be punished for his crime? And in the end he decided that he redeemed himself? Of course it's silly to pick on such details in thrash, but since this movie tries, or pretends to try, to convey some thoughts. What in this movie strongly pleased so it is kind moments, there are two or maybe three of them, and they last a little more than a minute, but it was quite pleasant to see them considering the general mood of the picture. I wouldn't dare to recommend this movie to anyone, but I wouldn't put it in the list of ugliness either. It is original in its own way, and I think there are people who still liked it, and I hope that not only because of the abundance of bloody scenes, which cause laughter or indignation. Indeed, if instead of the carnage here were beautiful fights and the movie would be different, but on the other hand then it would be little different from the shaft of similar movies.
