Eleven-year-old Weida Saltenfass lives in a large house with her father and her demented grandmother. Her father is in the business of providing funeral services, and his funeral home is located right in the Saltenfass family home. The gloomy, funeral atmosphere in the house has a depressing effect on the girl.Mr. Saltenfass is completely immersed in work, after the death of his wife he has no other interests in life. But everything changes when the funeral home hires a new employee. The vivacious Shelly forces Mr. Saltenfass to crawl out of his shell of emotional alienation - Weida has never seen her father so happy. The girl grows up to be a delicate and highly impressionable creature. She befriends a quiet bespectacled boy and loves her literature teacher. Dad starts courting his new makeup artist and proposes to her. The drama that is unfolding calmly and leisurely suddenly explodes with the death of the bespectacled friend and a very unchildlike grief that falls on the shoulders of an eleven-year-old girl.

Excellent, wonderful, kind, it's actually very hard to find words to describe this movie, it's just so beautiful that it's hard to remain indifferent. What is it about? About childhood, which almost all people miss in their hearts, about true friendship, about the first serious test in a child's life. This movie so subtly shows children's, the most sincere by definition friendship, children together play, fantasize, dream and they do not care about anything from the hypocritical life of adults. The plot is about a girl who has a real friend, but with whom she has to part, a sad movie, but so interesting that it is very difficult to forget about it.

The actors played great, there is nothing that would not like in their game. The children play great, so naturally that it is impossible not to believe in what is happening. Adults, secondary characters also played at the highest level. Of course this game added a lot of positive emotions to the movie.

Quiet town, kind people, beautiful houses, you really want to watch this beautiful place. And somewhere a little bit outside the town there is a river, with a big and beautiful tree, on which the main characters experienced very touching moments, Thomas was going to become an acrobat, they, having cut their wounds, became brother and sister and they tried to kiss. Very sweet, beautiful, and something only children are capable of.
