Pretty in Pink 4K 1986 Ultra HD 2160p

I have recently discovered John Hughes, although I have been watching his movies for a long time - 'Beethoven', 'Home Alone', 'Curly Sue', 'The Breakfast Club' and many others. Discovered John Hughes only on the positive side - a wonderful writer, producer and director.

I decided to watch 'Pretty in Pink' only because of John Hughes. And I was right! Wonderful movie! Sometimes you are surprised that the problems that teenagers had in the 80s are not very different from the modern ones. That's what makes such movies timeless - they were relevant in their time, are relevant now and will remain relevant for a long time to come. She's a poor girl, he's a rich guy, he's got a bunch of equally rich friends, and he's kind of ashamed of her.... How's that? Modern? It is!

Special mention must go to the cast - Molly Ringwald is a star! She shines in 'The Breakfast Club' as well as in 'Sixteen Candles'. And here, as a true star, she continues to sparkle and dazzle. For me, she has become the benchmark for female roles in teen comedies. Also very impressive was James Spader, who played the negative evil best friend. I remember him exclusively for his positive roles, and was to see him in a different way. I really liked the actor who played the lead male role - Andrew McCarthy. I had never seen him anywhere before, and I just fell in love with him at first sight (just like the main character!). John Cryer makes a lasting impression! In my opinion, this is the most vivid image in the whole movie, perfectly thought out and played.

Overall, I put this movie on the same line with 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Sixteen Candles' - a wonderful, light, melodramatic, love, teen movie with a happy ending. Everyone will enjoy it, without exception.
