Arabesque 4K 1966 Ultra HD 2160p
A decent spy film in which an American professor specializing in hieroglyphics arrives in Oxford to decipher a secret message whose contents are of interest to spies, oil sheikhs, and a number of Middle Eastern leaders. He is assisted by the sexy mistress of an oil magnate with political ambitions.
In creating this film, Donen repeated Charade, rightly deciding that the success of the previous film deserved another work in the same vein. Lauren shows off stunning outfits from Dior (more than fifty pairs of shoes alone). Her costumes cost £50,000.
The film is a pleasant way to pass the time — Sophocles is just too good.
Cinematographer Christopher Challis won the 1947 British Academy Film Award for Best Cinematography in Color.

One of the most popular and commercially successful themes in the 1960s was espionage. In fact, Arabesque plunges us into the depths of oligarchs and shadowy conspiracies.
So: London. A renowned scientist is offered a job working on a mysterious cipher. After he refuses, a very influential person contacts him and urges him to accept. In the end, the professor realizes that they want to kill him after he completes the job, and he also falls in love with the client's daughter.
This is a very entertaining adventure film by Stanley Donen, very similar to his Charade. In it, special attention is paid to the lead actors.
Gregory Peck plays a boring professor and does so with inspiration. And Sophia Loren plays his charming lover.
I think that the names of the lead actors - Peck and Loren - are the main merit of the film. Otherwise, everything is predictable and linear.
It should be noted that the first fifteen minutes of the film are shot very inspiringly and at a fast “standard” pace.
