If you want to laugh, watch this movie. The screenwriters fantasized a little about society's attitude toward same-sex love, but with humor and subtlety. This is not a serious film about the problems of gays and lesbians. Don't take it as a guide to action or the ultimate truth.
In my opinion, it's an excellent joke about solving problems through a “family council” or going to a clinic from an advertisement! Everything is a little “overplayed” (in a good way), which once again emphasizes the frivolity of what is happening.
