Airplane II: The Sequel 4K 1982 Ultra HD 2160p
There's a madman with a bomb on board, the first lunar shuttle is about to self-destruct, the engines aren't working, and, worst of all, the crew has run out of coffee. Once again, it's the crazy Airplane, and once again, it's Hayes and Hagerty. In addition to the old team, the club of lunatics now includes some new nutcases. Will Hayes be able to save the ship this time?

There should be at least two good ones. Like, for example, in the case of Airplane. There was an excellent comedy in 1980, and it continued in 1982. Everyone is happy and satisfied. There was no sense that it was just cashing in on a successful project, and the film was made in the best traditions of the first part. Isn't this one of the main indicators of a successful sequel?
There was no innovation whatsoever. The film is in the same vein as the original; the jokes are identical; the characters are the same. Only the title has changed: a ‘two’ has been added to it. Zucker and Abrahams have suddenly disappeared from the credits. Leslie Nielsen is also absent, but the incomparable Lloyd Bridges is here. If you are even more interested in the personal changes of the main characters, the American watered-down version of Belmondo in the form of Robert Hayes, as well as his on-screen girlfriend Julie Hagerthie, are once again the stars of the show.
I was quite surprised to find the theme song for Mission: Impossible in the film, 13 years before the release of the successful action movie with which this melody is associated! The creators did not ignore the then-fresh Star Wars trilogy, mocking it several times in their comedy. Perhaps there are other films parodied in the film, but let's not forget that it was the 80s, and the culture, like the times, was completely different.
For those who have seen the first part, the film will seem very enjoyable and familiar, as if Zucker and Abrahams had never left. For those new to Airplane, it is an excellent comedy parody in the best traditions of films starring Leslie Nielsen. But as for myself, I would like to note that there are countless jokes and gags in every millimeter of this film's celluloid!
