Due to the fault of Babe, a pig who became the best sheepdog in the country, his owner fell into a well and became seriously ill. The entire farm was left in the hands of his honorable wife. She tries very hard, but circumstances are against her: the bank's demands are impossible to meet. She had to resort to the help of the kind-hearted piglet. Esme remembered an invitation to a fair, where they promised a decent fee for demonstrating Babe's abilities. She and the piglet board a plane and set off on their journey. Unfortunately for his owner, but to the delight of young viewers, Babe gets lost. He has a lot of funny adventures with many other animals. Help comes from a duck named Ferdinand, who flew into town from a farm.
Adults may not find the sequel as interesting, but kids will enjoy it to the fullest.

User Review

Apparently, this is how masterpieces are made. By a crazy creator, for fabulous money, and seemingly without any hope that anyone will understand you. After the insane success of the first Mad Max, its screenwriter and ideological inspirer George Miller decided on an unprecedented experiment—to spend ninety million on a visionary arthouse film with talking animals. So that the average viewer, accustomed to carefully calculated works designed solely to make a profit, would not understand why, and more importantly, how such films are born in the world of cinema. And in it, by the way, Miller's imagination paints a picture that even Wes Anderson, high on acid, could not dream of. A patchwork cinematic universe is squeezed into the shell of a children's moralistic comedy, with “metropolises,” “mad maxes,” and numerous products of the developed imagination of Terry Gilliam and the Monty Python company.

The film is also not lacking in the dynamism characteristic of Miller's early films. The director creates it practically out of thin air, using techniques long tried and tested by the classics of slapstick comedy. Here you will find tinsel, rope flights, and gastronomic explosions. However, the average viewer does not admit to themselves that what confused them in this film was not so much the crazy farce as the visual convexity that overwhelmed their senses. The film failed to make money, but the sheer audacity of the director who released this masterpiece, which sank into oblivion, deserves admiration as vast as the world itself.
