Not everyone will like this film, but I recommend giving it a chance. The film is unhurried and dialogue-heavy, but subjectively, I felt like I was enjoying a cozy vacation at a hotel with the characters. The main plotline involving the robbery didn't drag on, but Inspector Clouseau became my favorite character. I love physical humor and a certain absurdity in the behavior of the characters, which is abundant in this film. It was interesting to watch the scenes with him and see what kind of story he would get involved in next, although at the same time, the implausibility of him being a police officer in reality seemed absurd.

The actor who played the role, Peter Sellers, described Clouseau as “imbecile” in an interview. However, Clouseau is a very cute and kind “imbecile.” I absolutely share the Western audience's love for this character. You want to empathize with Clouseau.

For those who know English well enough to watch with subtitles, I recommend watching the franchise in the original. Clouseau has a French accent, which evolves from film to film and is the basis for some jokes as the franchise develops. The accent is not present in the dubbed version.
