User Review
To be honest, the first film has nothing to do with this it’s a sequel in name only. Chow Yun-fat didn’t return, and his absence is physically palpable. Danny Lee holds his own, but this is a completely different movie. Conan Lee fell off a lamppost during filming and they left that scene right in the movie but he barely fights at all: stunt doubles, editing, caution. The first hour drags on slowly. The finale, however, is not bad lively, with stunts and a couple of memorable moments. It’s watchable, but only after seeing the first film and without setting your expectations too high.
