User Review
“Rumble in the Bronx” (1995) is a classic action-comedy that rightfully paved the way for Jackie Chan to break into the American market. The story of a Hong Kong cop who arrives in New York and single-handedly takes on the local gangs captivates with its simplicity and incredible energy.
The film’s main strength is, of course, its jaw-dropping and creative fight choreography, where absolutely everything is fair game: from furniture to refrigerators. The final showdown featuring a giant hovercraft right on the city streets still looks more spectacular than many modern blockbusters with computer graphics. It’s the perfect, high-octane, and deeply heartfelt action movie from the ’90s that’s guaranteed to lift your spirits.
