Positive points in the film: the wildlife is beautifully filmed, the characters are well worked out, so their actions and behavior are clear and natural.

Negative moments in the movie: the plot is somehow deliberately straightforward - here they will fall in love, here they will fight, now they will break up, and then they will make up, but it will be too late. This straightforwardness is what prevents us from getting into the drama of the Ludlow family history.

A lot of praise has already been written about Tristan, but I want to add a small 'spoonful of tar' - yes, Brad Pitt's character is really irresistibly handsome, free-spirited and unbridled like 'Spirit the Prairie Soul', he blows everyone away. But, HE LOVES ONLY HIMSELF, not caring a bit about the interests of others, even those closest to him. This has made everyone who comes in contact with him suffer. So my sympathies are on the side of the eldest son, who really showed his love for his loved ones in practice and cared about their well-being, unlike the selfish Tristan.
