Storyline
In a daring attempt to start afresh after a dead-end marriage, Carly Norris, a successful book editor, moves into her elegant new apartment on the twentieth floor of a high-tech Manhattan apartment building. Unbeknownst to her, the luxurious "sliver" building comes with a terrible history of unsolved grisly murders, Carly catches the eye of both a burned-out crime novelist, Jack Landsford, and a shyly charming video-game designer, Zeke Hawkins. As a mysterious voyeur watches the tenants' every move, yet another female neighbor dies. Could Norris be next?

Successful publisher Carly Norris moves into a modern skyscraper called 'Sliver'. She doesn't yet know that the apartment she moved into became vacant after the tragic death of her previous landlady, a similarly lonely and sexy lady.
She meets the man of her dreams, Zeke Hawkins, who she later learns is also the owner of the Sliver. With him she has a heady affair full of snake seduction and unbridled sex.
However, what is happening in the house soon begins to worry Carly. Her former landlady is murdered, another skyscraper resident is killed, and Carly's life is in mortal danger. Now Zeke looks not so stunning, and Landsford was already similar in behavior to a maniac ... Who will turn out to be the killer? What does 'Sliver' hide within its walls?
As an erotic thriller, the movie is 'excellent'. The scenes of fatal sex are flawless and brought to the level of art, to the level of paintings of great artists. Without them the picture turns into a dull ordinary movie, of which there are many. Besides, the successful tandem of Sharon Stone and William Baldwin colorfully decorate the inner atmosphere of the film with their sexiness. Another plus is finding Tom Berenger in the picture with his evil face and cruel gaze.
And if Sharon Stone is an innocent sheep who tasted the unknown and forbidden, William Baldwin is a seductive but slippery snake, and Tom Berenger is a lone wolf on the hunt.
A great picture within the genre. It's worth watching not as a whole film, but in short parts, like a series. Each of them is different, merging with each other only nervous tension, which was perfectly conveyed by Phillip Noyce.
