It has long been clear to me that South Korea makes the best melodramas. Isn't it true? Is it possible to hold back the hysteria when watching these shots, is it possible to calmly endure these 2 and a half hours? It's the best I've seen in every sense. Of course it can be compared to 'The Memory Diary', with whose movie the plots are similar. But still, so much of it gets to the core of my soul and doesn't let go for a long time...Cheol-su is the best spouse one could wish for. Su-jin - wouldn't you want a wife like that? They changed a lot of things for each other.
One encounter at the store, one can of Coke...Everything changed forever.
You could see how much she loved him, how much he adored her, appreciated her, respected her. It didn't matter at all what was happening to them, what difficulties awaited them - the meaning of their life was themselves, the two of them for the two of them, and no one else. In the last frames, all that accumulated stuff comes out of you. The realization that 'life can be so cruel' destroys the former performance, only the bitter truth of the whole tragedy of their lives remains.
How pleasant it was to watch their happiness, their love...It was over so quickly.....
