William Friedkin's largely forgotten erotic thriller Jade, despite being derivative of Basic Instinct and Disclosure, should still appeal to fans of the genre for a number of reasons.

First: the acting. The impressive performances of Linda Fiorentino, David Caruso, and Chazz Palminteri elevate the standard plot and make the film interesting even today. Linda Fiorentino's character, Trina, is a real femme fatale, a black widow who devours her males, and the actress coped with the role 100%.

The second reason: the direction. The film has a strong directorial hand, so the plot unfolds in an interesting way, without any missteps, as befits a good erotic thriller of the 90s.

The third and final reason to watch this film: the erotic scenes. They are beautifully shot and very arousing, albeit very similar to Basic Instinct.
