Watching this part was more boring than the previous two. Most likely because the authors put an end to it rather than moving the plot forward — they didn't add new characters, removed several characters from the frame (Henry and Lucy), and set a sentimental tone of farewell from the very first minutes.

After six seasons and two films, the characters have already been explored from all angles. We have already experienced their best and worst moments in life with them. Therefore, you will not find anything new in this film. For example, the story of losing money is already familiar and has happened before in the series. And the characters repeat phrases that are already familiar to us. The story with Carson is also repeated. He has already been sent into retirement, but in this film he is back in his position as butler and is about to retire again.

On the other hand, of course, it is a very beautiful finale, with the Crawley family back on screen with their clothes, manners, warmth, family values, and traditions.

For me, the film was a pleasant return to the atmosphere with a slight touch of sadness about the luxurious times of the first seasons. I have rewatched the series many times, and it will be interesting to open the first episode right after the finale and remember how it was.
