Murder in the First 4K 1995 Ultra HD 2160p
In this film, based on real events, you will learn about the reasons for the closure of the infamous Alcatraz prison. Orphaned at the age of 15, Henry Young stole five dollars to feed his little sister and was caught at the scene of the crime. But his initially short sentence was extended to many years. For attempting to escape from the infamous Alcatraz prison, Henry was thrown naked into a “stone bag” without windows, heating, a bed, or a washbasin, where he spent three years and two months. After his release from solitary confinement, he was accused of murdering the inmate who had reported him. He was to be sentenced to death, but a young, novice lawyer (Slater) turned the trial into a case against the prison and inhumanity, making a name for himself. “In my entire life, I have never seen anyone fight so hard for human rights,” said the lawyer.
User Review
There was a guy who robbed banks, killed people, and served time in prison. Then he ended up in Alcatraz, tried to escape, served a couple of months in solitary confinement after the escape, and a couple of years later suddenly killed one of his former escape companions. He received a life sentence for this murder, but was released on parole in 1972; his further fate is unknown. This is the story of Henry Young.
The similarities with the plot are minimal, and the question inevitably arises: why not change a few historical details and make a completely fictional film, without any references to real history? The film is well made, but it is unpleasant to realize that it is not only a good film, but also a complete deception. And it is doubly unpleasant that not everyone who watches the film will go looking for details and discover inconsistencies—most will take it at face value. That's not good.
