Where adrenaline rules, there is no room for fear

A police thriller from the screenwriter of “The Fast and the Furious” and “Training Day”

They were the best cops in Los Angeles. Fearless and lucky partners, they became like brothers to each other. But one day, the guys got into the very lair of the city's criminal world, foolishly set themselves up, and became targets themselves... Who will be the first to empty their magazine?

User Review

Who are heroes? No, not those guys with superpowers that allow some of them to fly, run fast, jump several thousand kilometers, crush the unbreakable, and even spin webs. We're not talking about them here, not at all. We're talking about a slightly different question. Who are the real heroes, without the prefix “super”? Many would immediately say that such people do not exist. But please note that some heroes are real... People who, even if only occasionally, still perform brave and meaningful deeds. Even children are heroes, first and foremost to their parents. There is a part of each of us that no one knows the name of, and probably never will. Courage, bravery, love, joy, family, friendship - these are all part of that “part” that lives in practically every creature, whether in our world or not. Appreciate, love, and be loved...

The Patrol project initially caused a very plausible sensation. An ordinary story of ordinary cops, filmed in the famous mockumentary genre, began to intrigue viewers from the first trailer. Nothing unusual, just life. What should we have expected? In essence, nothing incredible or supernatural, right? Yes, that's right. Absolutely correct. There are no special effects, few shootouts, not many fight scenes, and a few chases (also in small numbers). But is that the main thing in movies? Maybe for some people, but certainly not for cinephiles and people who know the meaning of the word “cinema.” A film should be made with soul, because it is the soul that the creators put into their work on a film of any genre that is an integral part of it. This is exactly what director David Ayer's “The Watch” can boast about. First, it is worth noting the realism of the narrative. The script is really very good, honestly, it is. Everything is woven into the plot quite skillfully and colorfully. The characters are full of witty remarks, managing to understand both themselves and other important life problems and difficulties in general. Over the course of two hours of screen time, we experience everything alongside our heroes: we rediscover life from A to Z, learn the basics of family values, continue to patrol the surroundings of the mind, and don't forget to find a loaded gun on the shelf, the shot of which may once and for all dot the i's and cross the t's. Tears, death, rebirth, eternity. It is impossible to talk calmly about this film. Very often, the end of the path chosen by a person is cruel. After all, we create our own destiny, we decide when our story will end. For some, everything ends with a happy ending, but for others, it does not...

Brothers, sisters, cousins, mother, father, grandparents, uncles and aunts, friends, pets, etc. What unites all of this? Yes, yes.
You're right. All of this is united by the concept of “blood ties.” Your buddy, friend, stepbrother, or stepsister, it doesn't matter, they are no different from you. Why? Because that's how you see it. You love these people, and they love you. When they hurt, you hurt. When you are in trouble, they will come to your aid to support you in difficult times and simply cheer you up and lift your spirits, bringing a joyful, endless smile to your face. Please cherish your loved ones, regardless of the color of your skin, because everyone's blood is the same. The example of ‘The Patrol’ demonstrates the thin line that connects us all into one whole. Male friendship is stronger than steel. This was proven to us by Brian and Mike, who loved each other more than their own lives. A purely masculine film... A powerful film...
