I only have heard about this film in the last week or so and I didn't know what to really expect and this movie delivered something so fresh in a sense as we've seen a few films about D-Day but this movie has an interesting spin by explaining things leading up to it and I love how the film explore meteorologists and the massive impact they had on the decision making leading up to D-Day. I think the best part about the film is the acting as it's truly phenomenal but Andrew Scott truly is the star as James Stagg and he delivered such an emotional and powerful performance while Kerry Condon is really strong as well and she has some great scenes with both Stagg and Eisenhower played by Brendan Fraser who continues to have such an incredibly strong comeback in cinema and he's great in this. I also appreciate the story in this film as we see a lot of tension and drama between characters unfold and the movie is quite tense a majority of the time especially with the days leading up to D-Day and the things that need to go according to plan like the weather to make it work. I also really appreciate the production design and for a lot of films taking place back in time I think this movie does an accurate job at portraying 1944 and I think the set designs are also really great. I also think the score in here is really powerful and strong to make scenes feel even more important and stronger than they already are but the score just elevated so many scenes for me and made the film more tense and dramatic. I enjoyed the conflict between a lot of the characters as well especially Stagg and Krick as they don't really see eye to eye throughout the film and I enjoyed that tension and conflict. The only tiny complaints I have for the film is sometimes it ends up feeling quite repetitive at times which kind of hurts the pacing just a bit in the movie as some scenes felt the same to others that previously happened and also the movie is a slow burn which isn't for everyone but I think some moments felt really dragged out compared to others and I would've liked to see the film touch on some other things. But overall I had a good time with this film and I'd definitely recommend it!
