You know I really love the first 3 movies of this universe. Ellen Ripley's story ended in the third movie. But they made a fourth installment. Sigourney Weaver, as always, was great in the movie. But the plot is, sorry, dull.....

And God forbid! They finished the franchise! But no! There's a movie coming out called Prometheus. A movie that completely breaks the course of history. It was kind of rumored that 'Prometheus' and 'Covenant' were supposed to be prequels to the first 'Alien' movie. However, the movies came out, told a kind of inarticulate story about 'Engineers' who are incredibly degraded, after creating life on other planets. The story of archaeologist Elizabeth Shaw. A story that led nowhere.

It's been seven years since the release of a comedy called 'Alien: Covenant'. I've been waiting for a sequel to the story of gay cyborgs. And I was waiting for an explanation of how the 'Space Jockey' ship got to the planet 'LV426'. How did the cocoons end up on the ship? Was the queen there? And a host of other questions...

But I digress. Seven years later, we are told how the first alien was found! Interestingly enough, they found him 20 years after the events of the first movie. Although Ripley had been floating around in space for 57 years. But that's nothing...

You're in for a thrilling story of teenagers who have their own spaceship. But the ship has no cryocapsules. But there's a large, abandoned Wayland Yutani ship hovering over the planet they live on. So there's a good chance they'll find the equipment to get a good night's sleep. Oh! I forgot to mention that they want to escape from this planet. They're supposed to be free people, but for some reason they keep getting extended hours.

So, they docked at their destination. И... And then the unbelievable tedium begins!!! Movie makers are trying to intimidate fans of the famous franchise, in ways that no longer work. Long scenes when the alien stands and thinks - to attack or not to attack. When he presses his face close to the victim and grins... That worked in the last century. You can't scare him now. And it turns out that if you cut out those long scenes where characters and strangers are dumb and thinking. If you take out all those attempts at suspense, the movie would be cut in half. Or even more. There is no longer that atmosphere of fear and worry for the characters. You don't believe them. You don't care who gets killed and who stays. Another nail in the coffin.
