Timecop 4K 1994 Ultra HD 2160p

Based on the comics by Mike Richardson and Mark Verheyden. In the near future, a special commission is created in Washington, DC - with the invention of the time machine, there is a danger that someone will be able to change the past, and this is fraught with catastrophic consequences. The noble Mac Walker (Van Damme) accepts the offer to serve on this commission and becomes a time patrol policeman. His talents in martial arts help him both in the past and in the future in his fight against a rogue senator who seeks absolute power and uses time manipulation to do so.

User Review

One of the last successful roles of Jean-Claude Van Damme! This movie has everything that is lacking in the current films of the Belgian, that is, a good ensemble of actors (worth only Ron Silver, in the role of corrupt senator Macomb), a good script, written by a popular comic book and strong directing work of Peter Hyams (who previously made a fun sci-fi comedy “stay with us”).

The plot is good for an action movie. The not-too-distant future, a path through time is opened, or rather the past (because there is no future yet). Wicked on the hand of Senator Macomb rushes to the presidency to win the election, he lacks a small trinket, a few tens of millions of dollars. The only way out is to go back in time and earn easy money, which Macomb does (by bribing or eliminating undesirable people). Time Patrol agent Max Walker enters the fight with him.

Not bad special effects (for the mid-90s), not bad soundtrack (created by Mark Eishem) and very good staging of fight scenes, where Van Damme as always shows excellent physical training! In general, I liked it (especially in Gavrilov's translation)! There is a spark of a good movie in this picture (as they say).
