By the sixth part of this glorious nanology, you start to really worry about Dracula, who can't seem to get rid of the annoying little people who are trying to drive him into oblivion. Returning to life with unyielding determination in an increasingly dubious manner (from a script perspective), he desperately tries to preserve it. But how hard and dangerous the life of a vampire is! Symbols of faith paralyze you and leave you numb, sunlight burns you in seconds, thorn branches are scarier than barbed wire, and mountain spring water puts you into a coma... And, as if that weren't enough, with a light touch from the screenwriters, your luck is on par with Wile E. Coyote from the Warner Bros. cartoons. But Dracula does not give up and, with a tenacity worthy of Rocky Balboa, continues to strive for his noble goal—to live a normal vampire life.

In general, this is a traditional Dracula sequel from Hammer Studios, not much different from the others. However, one detail, which I am forced to pay attention to in the text below, sets it apart from the rest. The film is well made: excellent sets of late 19th-century Europe, good acting, especially by the inimitable Christopher Lee, beautiful costumes, and the pleasing visuals of good old cinema.

So, about the problem: Screenwriter Anthony Hinds triumphantly surpassed his inimitable colleague Jimmy Sangster (who, incidentally, believed that “vampires don't talk”) in this film, delivering an ending that far surpasses most, if not all, of the films in the series in terms of its level of absurdity. In general, the ending of Draculiada is always a big disappointment for me personally. The antagonist is mercilessly “dumped” in the most ridiculous way. It feels like the writers are trying not to come up with a logical and interesting ending to the film, but to kill the bloodsucker in a different way than in previous films, and they succeed perfectly. But the problem is that this is not another episode of Tom and Jerry, where form surpasses content, and cheerful buffoonery is the goal of the narrative, designed to entertain the viewer. This is a horror film.
And even though many people consider horror to be a frivolous genre, it should still have a logically coherent narrative (with rare exceptions dictated by the concept). The ending of Scars of Dracula is the screenwriter's nod to cheerful children's cartoons and a slap in the face to the viewer.
Because of it, this film is my least favorite in the series.

I feel sorry for the conscientious work of the director, set designers, and actors, which was ruined by the idiotic ending.
