Corpse Bride 4K 2005 Ultra HD 2160p
The main character, a young man named Victor, is returning home with his friend. At home, he intends to marry his fiancée, Victoria. On the way, the friends stop to rest in the forest, and Victor, as a joke, puts his wedding ring on a knot that looks like a finger lying on the ground and pronounces his wedding vows. Suddenly, it turns out that the knot is not a knot at all, but a decomposed finger belonging to a murdered girl who becomes a zombie and insists that from now on she is Victor's lawful wife. The forces of darkness drag Victor to the underworld and marry him to the mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits for her groom in the world of the living. Despite the fact that life in the Kingdom of the Dead turns out to be much more interesting than his usual Victorian lifestyle, Victor realizes that he would not trade his one true love for anything in any of the alternative worlds...
User Review
Two images appear before our eyes—two worlds. The world of the living. The world of the dead. It would be worth putting a dash here, because it turns out that the living are not really so alive. Everything is gray. Even the birds don't sing and the animals don't run. It's melancholy, not life.
It's a different story in the afterlife. Celebrations, songs, dances, drinking like there's no tomorrow. Everyone is happy and rejoices... (here I want to say life) death. Everything is brightly colored. Juicy. No hatred, pride, contempt, envy, pettiness, no intrigues.
About the characters.
Two families. The nouveau riche with money but no surname. Aristocrats without money but with a surname. A very colorful couple from high society - fat and thin (aya), tall and short. Perfectly matched. They embody all the vices of the aristocracy.
“Mom, Dad, did you marry for love?”
“Ha-ha-ha!”
Victor. A pale young man with bruises under his big sad eyes. (Very gothic). He is married to a girl he doesn't know in order to get a surname. He is nervous, hesitant, and ends up in trouble (read - in the Kingdom of the Dead). He meets the Corpse Bride. He is frightened. He runs away. But the girl is so sweet...
The Corpse Bride herself. Somewhat decomposed, but no less beautiful. With a worm in her eye. She lives (I'm not afraid to use that word - she actually lives) in the Kingdom of the Dead, waiting for her betrothed. She wants love and happiness. She has no intention of letting go of her newfound luck, who so carelessly put on her wedding ring.
Victoria. A girl from a wealthy family with a surname is supposed to marry the son of nouveau riche parents. She likes the young man. She is upset when she hears the news of Victor's disappearance. She wants him back.
The butler. His nose is higher than his head. He has an exaggerated sense of self-worth and is more arrogant than his employers. He only serves if he is paid regularly. He is a collective image of all butlers.
The uncle who appeared out of nowhere. “Is he your relative?” “No, I thought he was yours!” He will still play his role... A very colorful character.
The corpses. The children are touching and saddening. So small and already on the other side. The general, the bartender, the bar owner (the Frenchman's head on a bug) and many others. Not a single unnecessary character.
The humor is very pleasant. The second-hand shop is top-notch.
The curtain falls. I sit in my chair and don't want to leave. The thought flashes through my mind to hide and watch it again. Tim Burton did not disappoint. A beautiful romantic story.
