Wolf Children 4K 2012 Ultra HD 2160p
Yuki and Ame appear to be ordinary children who should be immune to the hardships of the world around them. When their father, the last representative of an ancient clan of werewolves, dies, their mother—an ordinary girl who fell in love with a man who turned out to be a wolf—has to move far away from the big city and start all over again. Spanning 13 years, the film tells a story that is both sad and funny, fantastical and yet very realistic, about motherhood, growing up, and taking responsibility for the choices we make in life.

I came across this film thanks to the REANIFEST festival. Someone said to me, “Why go to the cinema to watch anime?!” But I went and didn't regret it at all.
It's no coincidence that Wolf Children won awards at several film festivals. The anime tells the story of how a simple girl fell in love with a man who turned out to be a wolf, and how she raised her children after the death of her beloved. Her werewolf husband left this world too soon, and the young mother didn't have time to ask him about his childhood. Now she struggles with her children, not knowing how to raise them. It's not easy when your children run around sometimes in human form and sometimes in wolf form.
Despite the fact that this is a fairy tale, everything that happens on the screen seems very real and true to life. The director calmly, but not tediously, tells the story of the problems of motherhood, choosing a path in life, and growing up. While watching, you don't eagerly await the end and the dénouement, but enjoy the story. This anime is very touching, with plenty of moments that will bring tears to your eyes, but it leaves you with a very positive impression after viewing.
The stunningly drawn landscapes and the very accurately conveyed emotions of the characters are a brilliant achievement of the animators. And the soundtracks are simply beyond praise.
If you want to see a high-quality anime about simple human relationships, nature, and a touch of mysticism, I recommend you watch it.
