User Review
Jin‑Roh: The Wolf Brigade is a dark, focused, and very serious animated thriller that is much closer to European political cinema than to typical Japanese anime. The film is not intended for quick, entertaining viewing: it proceeds heavily and slowly, building tension through the setting, silent scenes, and the weight of the protagonist's choices. Its strengths are the atmosphere, the focus on psychology, and a very mature, almost ruthless treatment of the theme of human oppression by the system. For those who value anime as adult cinema rather than as a "cartoon," Jin‑Roh remains one of the most memorable and disturbing films of its era.
